What is Self-Directed Support?

Self-Directed Support (SDS) is a way of arranging care and support that gives you more choice and control.

Rather than having support arranged entirely on your behalf, SDS allows you to have a greater say in how your support is delivered and who provides it.

For many people, this means choosing a support provider that best understands their needs and goals.

What are Direct Payments?

Direct Payments are one of the ways Self-Directed Support can be provided.

Instead of services being arranged for you, funding is paid directly so that you can choose and purchase the support that works best for you.

This gives individuals and families greater flexibility and control over how support is delivered.

Can I choose SRS?

Yes.

If you receive Self-Directed Support or Direct Payments, you may be able to choose SRS as your support provider.
